SHOOK ONES was founded at the end of 2004 in Seattle, WA. Self-described as "nonsense meets melody," the band has been nothing if not prolific in the first five years of their career. Starting out with a self-released demo cassette, they have managed to produce three LPs, Sixteen (Endwell Records, 2005), Facetious Folly Feat (Revelation Records, 2006), The Unquotable A.M.H. (Paper+Plastic, 2009), the 7" Slaughter Of The Insole (Revelation Records, 2006), and splits with both EASEL and END OF A YEAR.
Now SHOOK ONES are returning for their first release in nearly three years with a two-song single, MerriweatherPostPavilion b/w Fancy. The first track is one of the longer songs in SHOOKS' catalog, striking a more pensive tone, and Fancy is the bandÍs learned response to their own now-classic track "Order Form."
