In November 2016, No Omega entered the studio to record their third full length album called ‘Culture’ as a follow up to the 'Occupants' EP released in 2015. The 12 songs were recorded in Sweden and sent over to Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studio (Deafheaven, Loma Prieta, Oathbreaker) for mixing and mastering.
'Culture' is the very epitome of the No Omega sound; this diverse and crushingly melancholic music, reflecting No Omega's own brand of modern hardcore. All limits are off, all barriers are broken - which becomes clear not only in the music, but also in the lyrics which are more personal than ever before: lifting the veil on such themes as social anxiety and personal issues that has been dealt with before, but never as personal. Inviting the listener to come closer to discuss such issues as friendship, communication and life in our twisted and cold society in general. Where empathy and care for other people around us is discouraged for the benefit of success and consumption.
From fast and heavy almost black metallic parts to mysterious calm parts the 12 songs always remains melodic and filled with emotion presenting a critical view of our society and the cultural norms we so desperately cling to.
