In the dark age of 2007, hidden inside a shed in the black rolling pine forests of Georgia, J. Wood laid down the roots of his longest-running incursion, GRINNING DEATH'S HEAD. From its inception, and with the drumming of MG, the band displayed its fully-formed, minimal aesthetic that would contribute to the boundary blurring of genres at a time when such delineations ceased to matter. Striving for something severe, and absorbing a wide array of influences, Wood delivers a harsh offensive of repetitive metal music in skeletal form. The result is a refined, scathing burst of monotonous negative energy, with pounding lamentations absent of all production values, executed at a pulsing pace as if to flash through the scenes of your life as you lay dying.

Originally issued as a demo cassette in two batches of 45 copies on cult label Destructive Industries, this edition marks the first occasion of the recording on vinyl, mastered to crushing effect by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, and presented with a fully-revamped layout based upon the original art concept.
