Still probably my favorite AFI album ever. The Filth cover is what sets it over the top for how awesome it is.

A Santa Cruz skateboard video called "Streets of Fire" introduced me to hardcore. Had a bunch of SST bands (Descendents, Bl'ast, Black Flag, fIREHOSE/Minutemen, plus Sonic Youth and Pailhead!), see here. Video is a classic as well, with Natas having a very memorable segment: [www.youtube.com].

Yeah I used to be super into Criminal Mischief and Nowhere Fast when I was young. Those heavily influenced me too. Its strange that newer skate and bmx videos dont ever really have much punk or hardcore. Its all indie stuff now.

The Offspring's self titled led me to TSOL, and the rest came from there.

I always listened to a bunch of hardcore or hardcore influenced bands when I was young (Kid Dynamite, Converge, H2O, Lifetime, etc.), but I didn't connect the dots until i was about 14 and my sister was blasting American Nightmare in her car one day when hanging out with her. The rest, well, was misery. tongue sticking out smiley

Yeah that stuff was awesome. Bmx needs more companies like that again.
