just who i think will win but probably won't anyway

best picture: the hurt locker
best director: quentin tarantino
best supporting actor: chris waltz
best supporting actress: penelope cruz
best original screenplay: inglorious basterds
best adapted screenplay:up in the air
best foreign language film: the white ribbon
best documentary feature: food, inc.
best sound editing: star trek
best sound mixing: star trek (sorry but the sound design on this film was out of control)
best cinematography: bruno delbonnel (sorry but this guy is pretty amazing)
best make up: star trek
best film editing: sally menke (i'm not biased to quentin, i just have loved her work of the last 20 years)
best visual effects - star trek

i only saw inglourious basterds and avatar.

if christopher waltz doesn't win anything he's nominated for, the whole thing is a failure.

Oscars, huh? I opted for 3 hours of Henry Rollins live instead. Feeling pretty good about that life choice.
