besides the border trilogy, i think it's the best thing written in the last 30 years. obviously some will not agree though...

reading blood meridian right now. i got Outer Dark and the Border Trilogy on my book shelf for future reading, but i have other books before them.

man, outer dark will flatten you. incredible.
most underrated of his works i reckon...best read while listening to the soundtrack to dead man. or assasination of jesse james.

I just finished The Road. Good shit for sure. I'm starting the border trilogy here soon.

the crossing is my favourite book of his, second in border trilogy. just...amazing.

i think that The Assassination of Jesse James is a totally underrated movie. Acting, Narration, soundtrack, cinematography... all these things are perfectly executed. one of the few movies i could watch over and over again. its an actual work of art in my eyes.

agreed. it's a masterwork. big pronouncement given it's only 3 years after it's been released but it's a masterwork.
