To the dude who mention the Al Columbia book in their top 10 yes, yes, yes. Been waiting for that book forever. Al is a maniac visionary artist. I highly recommend his stuff to anyone who likes warped sorta-comic book stuff.

told to add my top 10 here goes...

1. Converge Axe To Fall and Deathwish Roster for the only music that mattered in 09.
2. The Mighty Iphone
3. Florida The worst place on earth.
4. Avatar for being the most hyped average movie. For being in a 3d theater and adults acting like kids fighting over seats in front of me saved for friends almost resulted in a fight. Also being late and all the good seats were taken by the pros who know.
5. Living in Hollywood Florida being the real Hollywood California its like a big movie set and no one lives here. Thanks speculators and corruption.
6. Working out with Wii Fit, getting into shape. Serious...
7. Watching the Alice in Wonderland trailer during avatar realizing that Dani Filth (C.O.F) played the mad hatter not Johnny Depp. (said it on twitter, but its worth another laugh)
8. Haven't really bought video games in a while but FF7 Crisis Core was an amazing game.
9. Beach Fishing this summer turned out great.
10. 2009 was not a good year.

Wish everyone well in 2010!

1. Burning Fight in Chicago...catching Guilt, Split Lip/Chamberlain, Unbroken, and Disembodied just to name a few. AMAZING!!!
2. Converge @ Subterranean in Chicago.
3. Florida roadtrip for Nine Inch Nails / Jane's Addiction.
4. Nince Inch Nails / Jane's Addiction in Mansfield, MA. Not only did I meet NIN but also met Eric Avery of JA. His bass-playing inspired me to pick up the bass guitar.
5. Nine Inch Nails @ The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago for their last shows...ever...supposedly...
6. Writing full-time for Mammoth Press (2009 Year-End list here: [])
7. Becoming a full-blown iPhone did I live life before it?!?!
8. Converge & Mastodon in Pompano Beach, FL.
9. Cementing a few e-friendships which I hope will come to fruition in real life via face-to-face meetings.
10. Expanding my record collection...much to the dismay of my bank account.
11. Overall though, 2009 kinda sucked though due to a lot of family & health issues. But like Joe Dirt says "Gotta keep on keepin' on!"

Claim to fame: I once watched J. Bannon bite a kids ankle. Not out of
art or "tortured artist craziness". But out of pure survival instinct
after getting crushed by an onslaught of 90's rejects piling on to
sing "Everytime you justify, Another good in you dies"

01. Watching Tom and Jerry with Avery Naoma while her Mother and Father work.

02. Rome-Flowers From Exile (Probably in my top 10 favorite records of
all time. Jerome's voice and lyrics bring me to tears EVERYTIME. Like
a young Leonard Cohen if he came from a European Metal/Martial
Industrial background. Instead of the Montreal poet/folk circuit. I
can't even write anymore about it. Im going to go listen to it.)

03. Cult Ritual-Cult Ritual (Best Hardcore/Punk release of the year, I
know as a Deathwish Inc recording artist which apparently is like the
Universal of hardcore right under Bridge 9s sony, I do not possess the
cut off black jean shorts, Moth eaten t shirt, vans that look like the
Gonz wore them to prison as an art project combination/credibility to
speak about this band. But I will. Again, Best Hardcore/Punk Release
of the year.)

04. Salvation-Of Unforgiving Wind (The best band from the Philadelphia
area. Period. *Editors note: That is 2 Youth Attack releases in a row.
In fear of my jeans being cut to shreds, waking up in a Psychic TV
T-shirt and becoming a fan of Peter Sotos literature I will not put
the Aerosols-S/T on my list. Though, if you are not afraid of those
things, I suggest you do. But then again, maybe you were the kid at
the party summoning the devil on a OUJIA board. I couldn't even make
it to the party)

05. Disappearer-The Clearing (I don't even care that you quite
possibly need a beard to like this band. Or that you probably are only
allowed to be seen at a hardcore/punk show if you are going to see a
band that is featuring a member, whom of which,  you use to be in a
hardcore band with. This is of course before you discovered thee
almighty power of ORANGE AMPLIFICATION. In all seriousness this record
is great. I am not familiar with their instrumental catalog that I
have read about, and I do not want to be. I've read that some people
are reminded of Godflesh while listening to this. I am not. But I want
to be.)

06. David Bazan-Curse Your Branches (Pedro The Lion frontman falling
out with being a Christian. Writing lines that bring the house down,
like this "If my mother cries when I tell her what I have discovered,
Then I hope she remembers she taught me to follow my heart. And if you
bully her like you've done me with fear of damnation, Then I hope she
can see you for what you are. What am I afraid of? Whom did I
betray?"winking smiley

07. AntiChrist(Film) (Charlotte Gainsbourg, One of the worlds most
sexiest women? Yes. Willem Dafoe, One of the worlds ugliest but still
sexy in a "strong male" type of way(Think Charles Bronson if he was a
little freakier. Like instead of doing say Hard Times, He chose to be
Bob Cranes freaky bisexual sex buddy in "Auto Focus"winking smiley? Yes. A movie
dedicated to sex and female guilt. Yes. A must see for the
Misogynistic, White, Suburban Male dominated hardcore scene.)

08. Pentagram Live in Baltimore. (Could I have picked a sketchier
place to see Pentagram? I think not. Well maybe in 2010, If I see them
in Philadelphia. But for now, this one may take the prize. Bobby
Liebling looked like he stepped directly out of a Herschell Gordon
Lewis movie, smoked some of Baltimores finest rocks and took to the
stage. I wouldn't have it any other way.)

09. Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions Live in Philadelphia and the
album "Through The Devil Softly" (I couldn't have picked a more
perfect time to see this angel perform with a new album out. Inside of
course, only the most fitting place. An actual Church. I can't even
speak any more about it. It may ruin the experience.)

10. And finally, The future of it all.  ("They call me Jay
Electronica, Fuck that. Call me Jay ElecHannukah, Jay ElecYarmulke,
Jay ElecRamadaan Muhammad Asalaamica RasoulAllah Supana Watallah
through your monitor. My uzi still weighs a ton check the barometer.
I'm hotter than the muthafuckin sun check the thermometer."winking smiley
