"...Victims have been around for over ten years and we still love what we do. So far we have done four full length albums and we've toured all over Europe and the U.S. Talking about influences is always misleading and hard, but here's a try: We sound like, or rather think we sound like, an equal dose of swedish Discharge-influenced hardcore and early eighties american hardcore.

Here's a brief history:

Victims MK I
The band started in the mid 90's and never really planned on doing anything else than playing percise and to the point hardcore. A demo tape was recorded and later released as a seven inch vinyl piece in 1999. The first album called :Neverendinglasting" saw the light of day in 2001.

Victims MK II
Markus, the original guitar player left the band and Jon offered his guitar skills during the cold winter of 2001. There was already talk about doing a split record with a great band called From Ashes Rise so we started writing songs for it. We returned to Studio Soundlab in Orebro to record with Mieszko Talarczyk who at this time had the reputation of owning the best studio for "small" hardcore bands in Sweden. The record was released in 2001 in the U.S. by Havoc Records and this is a start of a great relationship with the label. "...In Blood", the second full length record came out in 2004. It seems like people liked it a lot and we got good reviews all over the world. This record brought us to our first tour of America.

After some touring around Europe we set out to make a rougher record, make the songs shorter and even more simple than the "...In Blood" album. We wrote a bunch of songs and as Studio Soundlab died with Mieszko in 2004 we recorded "Divide and Conquer" at The Dustward here in Stockholm early 2006. We toured the U.S. again and this time we brought our mission to the east coast.

Victims MK III
We parted ways with the bass player and founding member Andy from the band late 2006. It was time to take this band really seriously. We toured Europe with one of the best band around today, Another Breath in the early summer of 2007. We also played a few festivals around Europe in between rehersals. In October 2007 we felt ready to record our strongest effort so far and we chose to call it "Killer". The album was releases on CRI in Europe and praised by many. Later in 2008, Victims embarked on a European tour with Trap Them and The Ocean, as well as a short U.S. tour with Coliseum. Both were a great success..."

"Killer" CD/Digital is out now on Deathwish in North America (vinyl out now on Havok). Recorded at Studio Overlook and designed by Ryan Patterson (Coliseum), "Killer" is a sixteen song crust/hardcore beast, filled with driving D-Beat power and anthemic punk fervor. Each song carrying a rawness and heaviness that will surely appeal to metal, hardcore, and crust listeners everywhere.

Sweden's Victims are proud to announce the release of "Lies Lies Lies", a brand new 2 song 7"EP on Deathwish. Fresh on the heels of their celebrated full length, "Killer", Victims once again take aim with their trademark punk/crust weaponry and fire into willing ears. Recorded at Studio Overlook and featuring artwork from J. Bannon (Converge), this release features two hook-laden songs embrace the band's contemporary d-beat leanings even more than previous efforts. The end result is an infectious two song blur, that shows this already classic band sharpening their skill-set while still sonically evolving. Firmly cementing their place among the leaders, not followers, of the true underground punk/hardcore community.
